Remedial Massage
Remedial Massage incorporates a range of soft tissue specific techniques that may be used to treat tight muscles, aches and pains and to also assist people in addressing mental stress and anxiety. With today's lifestyle that causes people to sit prolonged and strain the body, regular massage treatments may offer great benefit to a person's wellbeing.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a massage-type treatment that is focused on the feet, which are seen to mirror different parts of the body. Reflexology may be effective in reducing stress and tension, improving circulation, reduced toxicity and improving immunity.
Bowen Technique
The Bowen Technique is a massage technique that uses cross fibre release to balance and stimulate energy and blood flow to the muscles. This can result in a deep relaxation, allowing the body to heal itself better, and may be effective in treating muscular-skeletal problems.

Pregnancy & Pilates
Pilates is important during pregnancy and post-birth. The main benefit is that the exercises target the exact muscles and functions that can be a problem during pregnancy and after birth. Pilates during pregnancy is perfectly safe and is tailored to each individual’s strength and ability.
Doing regular Pilates during pregnancy can help to:
- Strengthen core and abdominal muscles: this equips the body to better cope with the strains caused by the weight of your growing baby. Hormones make the muscles and ligaments that connect your bones more pliable in pregnancy, making you more prone to injury.
- Reduce back pain: weak muscles, especially the core and abdominal muscles, can lead to back or pelvic pain. These muscles support the lower back and help your body to carry the extra weight of a growing baby. The stronger they are, the more supported your lower back will be.
- Strengthen your pelvic floor: this helps to support the bowel, bladder and uterus as your baby grows and moves down. This may help to prevent the incontinence that can occur with pregnancy.
- Helps with baby’s position: towards the end of pregnancy, it is optimal for the baby to be head down. Positions such as on hands and knees on the floor, allows gravity to help with the positioning of the baby in the uterus.
Teaches correct breathing techniques: being able to relax and control your breathing is important for pregnancy and labour.
